BWA appoints Mohammad Yonass Mohmand to its Senate

Strengthening the Global Economic Network in Afghanistan

The German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA) is expanding its international network and has appointed Afghan entrepreneur and economic expert Mohammad Yonass Mohmand to the Senate of the association. With this appointment, the BWA is now also represented in Afghanistan by a high-ranking representative.

Mohammad Yonass Mohmand is Chairman of the Mohmand Group and holds leading positions in various regional economic organizations, including the Afghan-Pak Chamber of Commerce and within SAARC-related trade structures. For many years, he has been committed to promoting the private sector, strengthening regional trade linkages, and fostering economic dialogue between South and Central Asia.

With his admission to the BWA Senate, the association gains an experienced bridge-builder between markets, cultures, and political systems. His work exemplifies the objectives of the BWA to strengthen economic cooperation across borders and to promote stable and sustainable partnerships through economic diplomacy.
