We are pleased to invite you to our business breakfast, which will take place on December 4th, 2024, from 9:30 to 11:30 am. The event will be offered in a hybrid format, so you can either use one of the limited on-site seats at the headquarters of BWA or conveniently participate via livestream. The topic of the session will be:
"International expansion: What are the key accounting, tax and regulatory considerations your business needs to know in 2025?"
The presentation will be given by our BWA Senate members Ann-Christin Büscher, International COO and Partner of ECOVIS KSO Steuerberater & Rechtsanwälte, Tino Wunderlich, Indirect Tax Expert and Partner of ECOVIS KSO Steuerberater & Rechtsanwälte, and Ben Smith, Partner and Head of Outsourcing at ECOVIS Wingrave Yeats UK. Welcoming remarks will be delivered by Dirk Bormann, Member of the Board of Directors of BWA, and David Holt, First Secretary, Economic and Financial Policy at the British Embassy in Berlin.
Why this topic?
Recently published studies from the IMF and OECD have shown a large increase in global trade levels following the declines of 2023. This is especially true of German-UK trading relations, which are recovering from recent market turmoil and look set to further improve in 2025. Together with BWA members keen to maximise this opportunity, this session will provide a valuable insight into the tax and accounting regulatory trends that members need to be aware of.
What to expect?
During this session our expert panel of advisors from Germany and the UK will cover a broad range of topics covering everything from international direct and indirect taxation matters through to the differences in international approach around audit regulations and ESG reporting requirements. This session will include practical examples and case studies of some pitfalls and opportunities of international expansion, and how Ecovis have helped clients from all across the globe in growing their business in a sustainable manner.
Participation and Registration:
For on-site participation, we ask for early registration as places are limited. Preference will be given to members of the BWA Senate and invited guests.
Alternatively, you have the option of free virtual participation via Zoom
