The BWA Global Economic Network and the Embassy of Malaysia in Berlin cordially invite you to an exclusive business dialogue on Malaysia’s role as a leading trade and investment hub in Southeast Asia. This event also serves as a follow-up to the official visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, H.E. Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, to Germany in March 2024.

With a GDP exceeding USD 430 billion and foreign direct investment inflows of over USD 20 billion annually, Malaysia ranks among the most dynamic economies in the ASEAN region. The country offers one of Asia’s most open trade regimes, with over 70% of GDP generated through international trade. Its strategic location along the Straits of Malacca, advanced industrial base, and highly skilled workforce make it a prime destination for German and European investors. Currently, more than 800 German companies are already active in Malaysia.

Key sectors such as renewable energy, high-tech manufacturing, digital economy, food industry, and logistics are driving Malaysia’s transformation into a high-income, innovation-driven nation. The event will highlight concrete investment opportunities, success stories of German–Malaysian cooperation, and pathways to integrate into ASEAN’s rapidly growing value chains.
